Business honoring its “store dog”

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Lexington business is honoring the memory of one of its own by helping others.

On Wednesday, February 28, CD Central is donating all the proceeds from its sales to the Lexington Humane Society.

It’s where Zena, who was also known as the “store dog,” was adopted.

Zena passed away over the weekend at the age of 11.

The owner of CD Central, Steve Baron, says Zena came into the store almost every day, greeting customers and getting her belly rubbed.

He says if people can’t make it into the store Wednesday, he hopes they will still drop a dollar or two in the collection box for the Lexington Humane Society at the front counter.

CD Central is located at 377 S. Limestone Street.
