Brodhead man killed in car accident

ROCKCASTLE COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – State Police say a Brodhead man was killed in a car crash in Rockcastle County.

Investigators say 67-year old Johnny Maybrier was driving east on Highway 70 on Monday when his car dropped off the side of the road, hit an embankment and overturned.

State Police say Maybrier wasn’t wearing a seat belt. He was airlifted to UK Hospital in Lexington where he died from his injuries, according to State Police.

Investigators say the accident happened near the junction of Highway 70 and US 150 around 1:10 p.m.
