UPDATE: Lockdown at Whitley Co. Schools lifted
WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Whitley Co. Sheriff says the lockdown on Whitley Co. Schools has been lifted. They are not releasing any further details at this time.

The Whitley Co. Sheriff says all schools in Whitley Co. are on lockdown due to a text message threat.
The sheriff says they received the message around 2:30 p.m. Currently, investigators are not clarifying any details about the nature of the threat, or if it was aimed at a particular school in Whitley Co. The sheriff has ordered all Whitley Co. schools to be placed on lockdown until officials can verify the threat or determine that it was a false alert. Students, teachers and other staff are inside the schools. No one has been injured.
