BREAKING NEWS: Fishermen discover body in Mt. Sterling pond

MT. STERLING, Ky. (WTVQ) – Multiple branches of law enforcement converged on a pond near Montgomery County High School after authorities say two fishermen found a body in the water.

Investigators say the fishermen made the discovery around 11:30 Wednesday and called 911.  Multiple units responded to the scene.  Officials aren’t saying the death is a homicide at this point, but are waiting for results from an autopsy. 

The body was taken to Frankfort.
