UPDATE: Evacuation order lifted in downtown Stanford
LINCOLN COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- Main Street is back open and crews have stopped the gas leak and are working to clean up to open Somerset and Mill Street back up.
The Stanford fire chief says over 200 people were evacuated after the gas leak that happened around noon Tuesday.
The fire chief says two daycares were bused to a local school.

LINCOLN COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Businesses and homes in the downtown area of Stanford have been evacuated following a gas leak.
The Stanford Police Department says the gas leak is affecting Somerset Street to Logan Street and the Anderson Heights area.
According to authorities, a three-block area of downtown was evacuated as a precaution.
Crews with the Atmos gas company are on the scene to repair the four-inch gas line that ruptured.
Stanford Police say the evacuation order could be in effect for three hours.
