BraveHearts Equine Center holds Open House

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – BraveHearts Equine Center, in Paris, held it’s Inaugural Open House on Sunday.

The Centers’ mission is to save equines from abuse, slaughter and neglect.

The open house event, which was open to the public, gave people the opportunity to learn more about the center and see the horses they have saved.

Along side the horses there was live music, food trucks and a few equine themed vendors for visitors to enjoy.

Erica Bivens, the Philanthropy Director for BraveHearts, spoke about seeing the event come to life.

“It’s really incredible, because a lot of folks don’t have any idea about what it is that we do and our rescue mission,” said Bivens. “So this is a chance for us to kind of explain what it is that we do to people and let them learn more about the mission. And also just get out here and experience the farm themselves and meet some of these giant animals up close.”

The event ended at 4 p.m.
