Boyle County triple murder suspect sues former attorney

DANVILLE, Ky. (The Advocate-Messenger/WTVQ) – A former Pulaski County preacher who is accused in a triple murder, and his wife, are suing his former attorney, claiming multiple counts of legal malpractice and incompetent representation, according to a report in The Advocate-Messenger.

Kenneth Allen Keith and Tracy Ann Keith name in the suit attorney Bethany Stanziano and the Columbia law firm of Stanziano & Catron and the estate of Bethany’s husband, Mark Stanziano, who was gunned down outside his law office in June 2014, according to the newspaper.

The couple claims breach of contract, fraud, deceit, unjust enrichment, legal malpractice, infliction of emotional distress, breach of fiduciary duty and conversion, according to the published report. Bethany Stanziano stopped representing Kenneth Keith in June 2015.

Kenneth Keith is accused of gunning down 35-year old Michael Hockensmith, and his wife, 38-year old Angela Hockensmith, both of Stanford, and 60-year old gold broker Daniel Smith, of Richmond, in a pawn shop on South Fourth Street in Danville in September 2013. Keith has pleaded not guilty to all the charges against him.

Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty against Keith. He is also a defendant in a civil lawsuit filed by the mother of one of the victims. No trial dates have been set in any of the cases.
