Man accused of assaulting officers, stealing truck
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WTVQ) – The KSP Special Response Team was called-in Wednesday to arrest a man accused of assaulting two officers, another man and stealing a truck, according to the Warren County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies say 40-year old Christopher Spencer is accused of assaulting two officers in Bowling Green and taking off. Before investigators could catch up with him, they say Spencer hit 54-year old Gerald Bova over the head, fought with him, took his car keys and stole his Chevy Avalanche on Deer Meadow Drive.
Investigators say Bova identified Spencer as his attacker from a photograph.
Deputies say the search for Spencer led them to Sweeden, Kentucky, where State Police and the KSP Special Response Team arrested him and took him to the Warren County Regional Jail where he faces assault, robbery and other charges.
