Bomb threats force businesses to evacuate

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Bomb threats forced the evacuation of four Lexington businesses Thursday.

The Lexington Police Department says someone called in just before 2:30 p.m. to say there were bombs at the businesses located on New Circle and Bryan Station Road.

Police would not say what businesses were evacuated, but that it took an hour to check to make sure there was no threat.

The inner loop of New Circle Road was shut down briefly while crews searched the businesses.
