Boil Water Advisory in Rockcastle County

MOUNT VERNON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A boil water advisory is in effect for customers of the Eastern Rockcastle Water Association who live on Big Cave, until further notice. Water officials say the advisory is the result of a broken water main in Mount Vernon.

Affected customers should boil all water to be used for cooking and drinking for at least three minutes until further notice. Customers can also use bottled water for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes and for food preparation.
