Boil Water Advisory: Franklin County

UPDATE (1/28/15, 14:43): The Water Department of the Frankfort Plant Board has dismissed this boil water advisory.

The Water Department of the Frankfort Plant Board has issued a Boil Water Advisory, alerting customers to boil all water before drinking or using it for cooking. The advisory is in effect for the entire East Side of Frankfort areas included:

•Martin Luther King Blvd
•East Main St
•Schenkel Ln
•Steadmantown Ln
•Georgetown Rd
•Versailles Rd to I-64
•US 421 South to Duckers Rd
•This advisory includes any surrounding areas and/or subdivisions.

A vigorous boil for at least two minutes is recommended. This Boil Water Advisory is a precautionary measure due to a loss of pressure in the water main caused by a Sewer Contractor damaging a 16 inch pump line that supplies the east side of Frankfort.

This Advisory will remain in effect until lab analysis of water samples taken confirms that the potable water supply in the effected area is safe to drink. You will receive a notice when this advisory is lifted.
