UPDATE: Boil Water Advisory lifted for Brush Creek/Big Cave area

LIVINGSTON, Ky. (WTVQ) -The Eastern Rockcastle Water Association says the boil water advisory for customers in the Brush Creek/Big Cave area has been lifted.

The company has not issued any additional information on why the advisory was issued, other than to say it was a precautionary measure.

A separate boil water advisory for customers on Climax Road, Red Hill Road, Three Link Road, 490, Trace Branch and all sides roads, remains in effect.

BOIL WATER ADVISORY: Eastern Rockcastle Water Association

A boil water advisory has been issued by the Eastern Rockcastle Water Association for all customers in the Brush Creek/Big Cave area, effective immediately.

The water company says customers should boil their water for a full three minutes before using for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, or food preparation, or should use bottled water.

According to the Eastern Rockcastle Water Association, the advisory is being issued as a precautionary measure.

ABC 36 will update this story as soon as the advisory is lifted.
