Body recovered in Henderson County; foul play not suspected

UNIONTOWN, Ky. (WTVQ) – Investigators hope an autopsy will confirm the identity of a decomposed body found in a rural area of Henderson County on Tuesday, according to State Police.

The remains were found around 5:15 p.m. during a search for a missing elderly man, according to KSP. It is not known yet if the remains belong to the missing man.

Investigators say at this point, they do not suspect foul play.

The autopsy is scheduled to be performed in Madisonville on Wednesday, July 19, 2017.
