Body of Louisville man found, swept away in flooding

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — A body found near the Ohio River in Louisville has been identified as that of a man who went missing during flooding last weekend.

The Jefferson County coroner’s office said the body of 67-year-old Stephan R. Miller of Louisville was found Friday during a search of the area where he disappeared.

The coroner’s office said the Louisville police dive team went into an area of high water indicated by cadaver dogs and recovered Miller’s body.

Findings of an autopsy are not complete. No foul play is suspected.

Police said earlier that witness reports indicated Miller was pulled under as he waded through knee-deep water north of Harrod’s Creek on the river.
