Body of missing six-year-old boy found in river on Christmas
WARFIELD, Ky. (WTVQ) – On Monday, Police say they located the body of a missing six-year-old boy in Tug Fork River in Martin County.
According to EKB-TV, rescuers searched the Kentucky and West Virginia sides of the river, following a report that a boy had fallen in.
Investigators say they found the boy’s footprints and his hat on the bank of the river.
The boy’s body was recovered around 2 p.m. on Monday.
Attempts to revive him were unsuccessful.
Authorities are not releasing his identity at this time.
