Body found in Whitley Co. river

JELLICO, Ky. (WTVQ) – Whitley County Sheriff Colan Harrell says deputies are investigating after a body was found caught on a limb off of US 25W in Clearfork River.

The Sheriff says a man driving along the highway spotted what he thought was a body, and called deputies around 9:20 a.m. on Monday.

Investigators say the Clearfork River had been running high, but has receded.  That’s when the body was revealed on a tree limb.

The Sheriff has not confirmed, but says he “strongly suspects” the body may be that of Randall Alan Walker, of Ohio.

Walker disappeared from the rest stop off of I-75 in January.
