Body found after house fire in Pike County

STONE, Ky. (WTVQ) – Kentucky State Police say a body was found inside a house that caught fire early Thursday morning.

Police say they received a call about a structure fire in the Stone area of Pike County just before 4 a.m. They say the caller said someone was possibly still inside the home.

According to authorities, a body was found shortly after the fire was put out.

Police say this is an ongoing investigation with more details to come.
