Body found following fire in Grant County

GRANT COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – A woman is found dead following a house fire in Grant County.

Firefighters were called to a home in the 200-block of N. Main Street in Crittenden around 4 a.m. Wednesday.

According to the Grant County Coroner’s Office, firefighters discovered the body after putting out the fire.

No one else was in the home at the time of the fire, according to the coroner.

The coroner says it could be several days before there is a positive identification on the body.

The cause of death has not been determined.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
