Bodies of couple killed in Brussels return to U.S.
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The bodies of a Lexington native and her husband – killed in terrorist attacks in Brussels almost two weeks ago – are back home.
Justin Shults’ brother sent a message on twitter this weekend, saying quote: “Justin, Stephanie, and four others were given dignified transfer back onto U.S. soil. He goes on to say, “in a few days they will be released to the families.”
Stephanie Shults graduated from both Bryan Station High School and Transylvania.
The two were in Brussels for work.
They were dropping off her mother at the airport when terrorists set off bombs at the departure hall.
They were among the 16 killed at the airport.
The airport reopened Sunday to a small number of passengers.
