Bodies found in creek after crash

MARION, Ky. (WTVQ) – The bodies of two people were discovered in a creek in Crittenden County on Sunday.

According to Kentucky State Police, the Crittenden County Sheriff’s Department went to investigate a report of a crash on Fords Ferry Road.

Firefighters with the Crittenden County Volunteer Fire Department came to the scene and located a 2009 Chevy Impala, partially submerged in Crooked Creek, with the passenger’s door open, according to police.

No one was inside the car but police say the bodies of 86-year-old Douglas W. Keeling and 82-year-old Martha Keeling, both of Marion, were found 300 yards downstream of the vehicle.

Foul play is not suspect.

Autopsies are scheduled for Monday at the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Madisonville.
