Board of Trustees seeks to “improve the culture of Lexington Catholic High School”

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A recently released statement from the Lexington Catholic High School Board of Trustees says that school officials want to “examine current policies and to further improve the culture” of the school.

This after two racially charged incidents at the school earlier this week.

In the statement, the board expressed support for internal investigations being held on the incident, and say they are forming “a School Life and Culture Committee that will oversee the diversity, ethics, and cultural competency initiatives within the school.”

The statement continues, saying, “Lexington Catholic High School offers a nurturing and enriching environment that has produced countless students who have succeeded in their academic, religious and professional pursuits. It is a proud tradition that we hold dear. We cannot and will not allow that environment to be compromised.”
