Bluegrass 10,000 office open for business

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Get ready to run! The Bluegrass 10,000 office is opening for business.

Located on the second floor of Dunbar Community Center, 545 N. Upper St., the office will be open Tuesdays (11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.) and Thursdays (4 – 6:30 p.m.), beginning Tuesday, May 30.

This is the 41st annual Bluegrass 10,000, a family–friendly event that is part of the Fifth Third Bank presents Lexington’s Fourth of July Festival.

Those interested in the Bluegrass 10,000 can visit the office to register and pick up their packets and dri-fit t-shirts.

People can also sign up at John’s Run/Walk Shop at the Palomar location, noon – 2 p.m., June 10 and 4:30 – 6:30 p.m., June 14, as well as the Ashland location, noon – 2 p.m., June 17 and 4:30 – 6:30 p.m., June 26; and from 5:30 – 7 p.m. every Tuesday in June at West Sixth Running Club.

Participants can still sign up online at The Bluegrass 10,000 fees are $35 for individual participants and $25 per person for teams of 5 – 10. The Fun Run fee is $15 per person.

Both the Bluegrass 10,000 and Fun Run will take place on Tuesday, July 4 in downtown Lexington.
