Blasting resumes for I-75 in Scott County

GEORGETOWN, Ky. (WTVQ) – Blasting operations have resumed for Interstate 75 in Scott County as work continues on the Interchange Project. The blasting is scheduled Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday each week from June 27 through August 24 between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., according to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.

A rolling roadblock (mobile operation) will be in place for both directions at mile point 127 on I-75 during the actual blast, according to the cabinet.

Delays will be approximately 15-minutes, according to the state.

A shoulder closure is also in effect from June 27 through August 26 at mile point 127 for both directions on I-75. The left lane at mile point 127 is open in both directions, according to the state.

All of the work is subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
