Blackburn escapee back in Kentucky

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – An escapee from Blackburn Correctional Complex is back behind bars in Kentucky.

26-year-old Justin Canada escaped from the facility back in August.

He was serving a 15-year sentence for convictions in McCreary Co., including robbery, according to the prison.

Court documents say a tip led authorities to the home of Canada’s mother in Indiana, where he was hiding.

Kentucky State Police say they went to the home and Canada was scene peeking out of a window in back of the home.

Officers entered the home and arrested him, according to documents.

Canada would have been eligible for parole in August of 2016.
