Black Educational Summit Scheduled For July 27th
This years Black Educational Summit will take place Saturday July 27th.
The third annual event, designed for students in grades 3-12, will feature internationally known writing consultant Erik Cork will present "Rap, Rhythm, & Rhyme: Rebuilding the Writing Foundation," a musically motivating literacy seminar.
Workshops for parents will cover anti-bullying, special needs advocacy, tips for grandparents, adolescent development, technology, and more.
The event will be at Bryan Station High School from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The summit is hosted by the Interdenominational Pastoral Fellowship of Lexington & Vicinity.
