Bill Mott: “I feel terrible that I have to apologize for winning.”
LOUISVILLE, Ky (WTVQ) – The ending to Saturday’s Kentucky Derby was one likely no one saw coming.
Maximum Security crosses the finish line first, but ends up being disqualified.
Race Stewards ruled Maximum Security interfered with two other horses on the corner of the final turn and he was disqualified.
This led to the second-place finisher, Country House, to be crowned the winner of Kentucky Derby 145.
On Sunday morning, Country House’s trainer Bill Mott was back at Churchill.
