Beware Phony Franklins

Some counterfeit money is popping up in Lexington.

The U.S. Secret Service says there are reports of fake 100-dollar bills in circulation in Lexington on Black Friday. One agent says they tend to be passed in very big stores where people are rushed and less likely to notice the imperfections.

A new 100-dollar bill, with a 3-D security ribbon, is now in circulation. The hope is that it will be more difficult to counterfeit.
