Betsy DeVos to visit Lexington and western Kentucky
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- U.S. Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos will join Governor Matt Bevin in a roundtable discussion at Bluegrass Community and Technical College in Lexington on Wednesday.
The discussion will be with families, educators, stakeholders and local elected leaders on school choice efforts in Kentucky and how Education Freedom Scholarships could help expand education options in the state.
Following the roundtable, the Secretary and Governor will head to Benton, Kentucky, to announce an additional Project School Emergency Response to Violence (SERV) grant for the Marshall County School District to assist in their ongoing recovery efforts following the Jan. 23, 2018, shooting at Marshall County High School.
