Berea PD investigate counterfeit bills

BEREA, Ky. (WTVQ) – Police in Berea say they’ve seen a number of counterfeit bills being used around the city.

Officers say in the closing days of 2015, small counterfeit bills between $5 and $20 were passed at a Sonic, a Little Caesers, a Redi Mart, and a Dollar General.

Police have released surveillance photos of the person they suspect of using bogus currency at the Dollar General on Paint Lick Road.  They are asking for help from the public in identifying the individual in the photos.  Officers aren’t saying the person in the photos is responsible for the other incidents, though they say it’s possible they are connected.
