Being elite

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Chris Westry and Derrick Baity were picked by the SEC Network as the best corner tandem in the league.

The local attention has been high on the pair since the Governor’s Cup luncheon…but now, it’s on a national scale.

Mark Stoops has tried to downplay his secondary’s skill, certainly to help keep their egos in check, but even coach can’t help himself at times.  These guys are good.

That said, is there any added pressure when everyone is gunning for you to make a name for themselves?

And what’s the toughest part about being an elite corner?

Is it hard to stay humble being so good?  Or is it easy to talk the talk and back it up by walking the walk?

Hear from Baity and Westry in the video.
