BCTC updates COVID-19 response
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – In response to Governor Andy Beshear’s directive Wednesday, Bluegrass Community and Technical College (BCTC) is offering in-person student services and enrollment opportunities primarily at the Newtown Campus in Lexington on Nov. 23 – Dec. 18.
Those who prefer in-person services are encouraged to go the Newtown Campus, 500 Newtown Pike, Lexington.
The Leestown and Cooper campuses will offer limited services. Bookstores and cashiers at each campus will remain open, and at Leestown Campus, the testing center, library and computer lab will remain open through Dec. 18.
With limited staffing, regional campuses will be open to serve their communities, according to BCTC.
In addition to service at these campus locations, all BCTC services continue to be available remotely to students and the public through Dec. 18. The college is closed for Winter Break Dec. 19 – Jan 3.
As previously scheduled, all classes except for a few approved technical classes go entirely online as of Monday, November 30 for the remainder of the semester.
Also during December, campus hours of operation will be adjusted and posted on the BCTC website.
As BCTC serves the public with limited in-person services on its campuses, it will continue to follow its Healthy at BCTC protocols and Governor Beshear’s guidelines for business operations.
