Basement wall collapses during storm in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- Firefighters say a basement wall in a Lexington home collapsed Monday afternoon during the storm.

It happened at a house on Courtney Avenue. Firefighters say the wall was pushed in by mud. They say no one was hurt. According to the fire department, a man was inside the home when it happened. He reportedly heard a large boom when the wall gave out.

The fire department says it condemned the home. It says the saturated ground could lead to similar problems in the city.
