Baptist Health to host candlelight vigil for lost infants
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Baptist Health Lexington will host its Perinatal Bereavement Candlelight Memorial Service at 7 p.m. December 1 in the hospital’s Education Center Auditorium, located on the lower level of the 1720 Building.
This annual event is for families who have experienced a miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, stillbirth or newborn death. The service is open to anyone who has experienced a perinatal loss regardless of gestation or when the loss occurred.
Guests are asked to arrive between 6:15- 6:45 p.m. for registration and ornament preparation. Please park in the North Garage, take the elevator to the first floor, exit the garage and enter the hospital through the discharge entrance, which will lead to the 1720 Building lobby.
The service will include a candle-lighting ceremony and a slide presentation recognizing babies. Guests who wish to have their baby included in the presentation should email the baby’s name or family name and any other information or message to firstname.lastname@example.org by Nov. 24.
Childcare will be available, and light refreshments will be served after the service. Those who wish to participate in the event are asked to RSVP by Nov. 24 at (859) 260-6904 or email@example.com and mention the number of children and their ages if childcare is needed.
