Bank of America opens new Lexington location
Lexington, Ky. (WTVQ) — A large crowd on Thursday for the grand opening of a ‘new’ bank in Lexington.
The Bank of America has opened their fourth financial center in Lexington on Fountainblue Lane.
“Yeah, we’re really excited to be opening our fourth financial center in Lexington,” said John Gardener, President of Bank of America Kentucky. “The prior three all opened during COVID, so we never had the opportunity to do a celebration. So, we kind of ring the city from North Park, Hamburg, Summit and now the Fountains at Palomar.”
Gardener says, one of the main reasons they chose the Fountains at Palomar is due to demographics, which show that area is one of the highest growth areas in Lexington.
The new location shows the bank’s commitment to serve the financial needs of the Lexington community, as said in a press release.
“For us as Bank of America, moving into Kentucky, we are part of a banking ecosystem,” said Traci Taylor, Marketing Executive for Bank of America Kentucky. “There are national banks, there are regional banks and there are community banks. We don’t come in expecting to be able to have all of the answers or be able to provide every single service. We’re part of a banking ecosystem and we are very proud to be now serving Lexington and Kentucky.”
And while this fourth location will be the last to open for a while, Gardener says it means a lot to help serve the people of Lexington.
“Just how proud we are to be here. How proud we are of our bank and what a great opportunity it is, as a native Lexingtonian, to be bringing this institution to Lexington.”
