Baby killed in Edmonson County crash

ROCKY HILL, Ky. (WTVQ/WBKO)- State Police say a four-month-old was killed in a car crash Saturday in Edmonson County.

Troopers say a Barren County sheriff’s deputy tried to pull a Toyota Camry over for driving recklessly.

The car sped away, but the deputy eventually found it in a tree in Rocky Hill.

Inside the car, troopers say investigators found a meth lab.

According to troopers, the driver, 54-year-old James Settles, was ejected from the car.

Settles and one passenger, 43-year-old Ruth Clemmons, are in critical condition at the hospital.

Four-month-old Lucas Settles was pronounced dead.

Clemmons and her son reportedly weren’t wearing seat belts.
