Baby gator found in backyard pond

NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – Jessamine County Animal Care & Control received a call on Monday, about an alligator found in a resident’s fish pond.

Officer Sherman Jett responded to the 10 a.m. call, successfully fishing out a 2-foot long alligator from the small pond in the Nicholasville resident’s back yard.

 The gator is safe and sound, says Jessamine Animal Control, they are just waiting for Kentucky Fish and Wildlife to arrive and take the baby lizard to a zoo.
