Auto conference set for September in Louisville

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — An automotive conference featuring manufacturers, suppliers and other business leaders is set for mid-September in Louisville.

The two-day conference is the creation of the Kentucky Automotive Industry Association. The organization says major advances such as self-driving cars, lighter-weight vehicles and long-lasting electric batteries will be among the subjects discussed at the event.

The conference, called AutoVision 2015, is set for Sept. 14-15 at the Louisville Marriott Downtown.

Organizers say leaders from Kentucky’s major automotive manufacturers including Ford, General Motors and Toyota will be among the presenters.
