Authorities search for escaped Blackburn inmate

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Authorities say an inmate walked away from Blackburn Correctional Complex in Lexington. They say it happened around 9:30 Wednesday night.

Officials say the inmate, 36-year-old Timothy Day, was serving a 15-year sentence for convictions out of Meade County, including Burglary, 1st and 2nd Degree. He would have reportedly been eligible for parole in May 2017.

Day is 5’9”, 250 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. Anyone with any information on Day’s whereabouts is asked to contact KY State Police at (502) 227-2221 or Lexington Police at (859) 258-3600.
