Assisted living residents celebrate “senior prom”
FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ) – Residents at the Lantern of Morning Pointe in enjoyed a magical evening “Under the Sea” for their “Senior Prom” Thursday night.
The event was full of fun and laughter as the residents and their families danced the night away.
According to the staff of the Lantern, decorations included jellyfish, an octopus, treasure chest and an ocean like canopy overhead.
The residents and families also mingled with the newly crowned Miss. Kentucky Outstanding Teen, Joanna Clark. Clark crowed the Prom King and Queen, as well as posed for photos.
The Lantern of Morning Pointe in Frankfort, Kentucky is a personal care senior living community for those individuals suffering from dementia and Alzheimer’s disease.
The Lantern serves over 36 residents and offers a free support group for families or members of the Frankfort community.
