Asphalt work upcoming for Clark County section of Mountain Parkway

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ/Press Release) – Drivers should be aware of an asphalt pavement rehabilitation project on the Mountain Parkway/KY 9000.

The milling, base (asphalt) failure repair and resurfacing work in Clark County is expected to be finished by Monday, Nov. 1.

The work started Monday, Aug. 30 and will go until 6 p.m. From Tuesday, Aug. 31 through Nov. 1, work will be done on weekdays from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Work will be done on some Saturdays during that period.

Work on the westbound Mountain Parkway will be between the bridge over Stoner Ephesus Road at mile point 5.341 and the Clark-Powell County line at mile point 11.913.

Work on the eastbound Mountain Parkway will be in the area before the Kiddville Road/Exit 10 Interchange at mile point 5.341 and the Clark-Powell County line at mile point 11.913.

One lane in each direction will stay open.
