Arrests after purse, wallet and phone stolen in Frankfort parking lot

FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ) – A woman who stopped for a bite to eat in Frankfort ended up losing her purse, wallet and phone.

Frankfort police say the woman went into the Burger King on Hudson Hollow Road just before 6 p.m. Saturday and left her purse in her car.

She called police to say it had been stolen and was able to give them a description of the suspects. Police say that description, along with their knowledge of other recent thefts, lead them to the suspects.

They arrested 18-year-old Jayvon McCray and two juveniles and charged them with theft. McCray was also charge with tampering with physical evidence and two counts of unlawful transaction with a minor.

Police say they were able to recover most of the stolen items.
