Arrest made after fire at Winchester home

WINCHESTER, Ky. (WTVQ) – A fire in Winchester on Monday has led to an arrest.

The Winchester Sun says 45-year-old Timmy Isaacs was taken into custody and charged with arson following the fire on Kiwi Drive.

The fire broke out at 525 Kiwi Drive at 9:17 a.m. A woman and a dog had to be rescued from the fire.

A neighboring home was also damaged.

The Winchester Sun says, according to court documents, a K9 unit detected accelerrant on Isaacs’ pants and shoes, as well as the seat of his pickup truck.

Isaacs told police he left the house at 8:50 a.m. Monday, according to the newspaper. He was arrested shortly after his interview with detectives.

He is being held on a $100,000 cash bond.
