Arrest made in connection to July shooting

LEXINGTON, Ky (WTVQ) – Lexington Police have arrested a man who was wanted for his connection with a shooting that happened in July.

According to authorities, 32-year-old Alexis Rico Davis, of Lexington, was arrested Thursday and charged with Assault 1st.

Investigators say on July 4, they were dispatched to the 500-block of East Seventh Street to investigate a shooting.  Upon arrival, they found a 59-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was brought to the hospital for treatment.

Lexington Police obtained a warrant for Davis on July 7.
