Arrest made in connection to bank robbery in Hyden

HYDEN, Ky. (WTVQ) – A man already in jail for a bank robbery in Manchester has now been charged with a separate bank robbery in Hyden, according to State Police.

Investigators say 51-year-old Robert D. Terry, of Hazard, was charged Monday evening.  State Police say he was charged with Robbery 2nd Degree and Tampering with Physical Evidence.

Investigators say these charges stem from an incident on May 21, 2018, in which the Hyden Citizens Bank in the Hurts Creek Shopping Center was robbed.

On June 22, Robert Terry was arrested by Manchester Police Department after the 1st National Bank in Manchester was robbed.  Information gathered during that investigation led to Terry being charged with the robbery in Leslie County.

Robert Terry remains in the Clay County Detention Center, where he awaits court proceedings in Leslie County.
