Another suspect pleads guilty in Winchester double murders
WINCHESTER, Ky. (WTVQ) – Another suspect in a double murder case in Winchester has pleaded guilty.
The Winchester Circuit Court says Ronnie Ellis pleaded guilty Thursday to facilitation to murder, wanton endangerment and tampering with physical evidence.
The court also says two other people who pleaded guilty in the case, Denzel Hill and Mikaela Buford, were scheduled to be sentenced, but sentencing was rescheduled.
Five other people were also charged in connection to the case: Darian Skinner, Matthew Carmen, Julia Richardson, Brian McIntosh and Jessica Burton.
Officers say Ellis, Hill and Skinner got into a gunfight with Carmen on November 7, 2017 at the Washington Street Apartments in Winchester.
Police say Kayla Holland and Adrianna Castro, both 16-years-old, were caught in the crossfire as a result.
Ellis will be sentenced on March 5.
