Another arrest after robbery at church

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington police have a second suspect in custody for stealing a purse at knifepoint at a church.

Court documents say 49-year-old Harvey Smith was booked into the Fayette County jail on Tuesday.

He was arrested in Scott County and charged with robbery.

Police say back in February, Smith and 37-year-old Robert Schultz pulled a knife on a woman at Corner Stone Baptist Church on Winchester Road in Lexington and took her purse.

Court documents say Smith and Schultz both admitted to the theft.
