Annual ‘Vigil For Life’ Held Outside Lexington Courthouse

Right to Life supporters gathered outside the courthouse in Lexington on Sunday.

Organizers said the goal of this annual event is to educate people about abortion and put and end to it.

There were a couple guest speakers during the vigil.

The keynote speaker was Dr. Nancy Mullen, M.D.

Donna Dean, from Silent No More, also spoke about her personal experience of having an abortion 42 years ago.

“The pain, and not being told the truth,” Dean said. “The shame and the guilt and that there is hope out there.”

According to Right to Life coordinators, there have been more than 56 million abortions since the January 22, 1973.
