Annual Peace Walk set for Saturday in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- The community is invited to take a stand against violence in Lexington Saturday by taking part in the annual Peace Walk.

The event is put together by the groups ‘We Care’ and The Antonio Franklin, Junior Violence Intervention Project ‘VIP.’ Organizers say the walk will begin at 6:00 p.m. in Duncan Park and will wind through neighborhood streets downtown.

Meanwhile, Lexington Chef Love Talley says he is preparing and donating food to feed up to 300 people for free after the Peace Walk. He says he came up with the idea as a way to support the movement and give back to the community.
