Anderson County teen sentenced in fatal DUI accident

ANDERSON COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – An Anderson County teenager is going to prison for an accident that killed another teenager.

According to the Anderson News, a judge sentenced 19-year-old Brianna Watson to five years for the 2017 crash that left 17-year-old Sydney Peffer dead.

Prosecutors say Watson was driving under the influence when she missed a turn and flipped her car on Alton Station Road.

Peffer was thrown from the car.

Watson pleaded guilty to reckless homicide in March. She was originally charged with manslaughter.
