An average Friday with a hot weekend ahead

A fantastic Friday to end our work week

Temperatures start mild in the 60s, reaching the low 80s by lunchtime. We’ll warm to the mid-upper 80s by afternoon, feeling close to average for this time of the year. High school football tonight will start warm in the low 80s before cooling to the 70s past sunset. Throughout the day, we’ll have lots of blue sky and sunshine, so be sure to have the sunglasses handy. Allergens are still at high levels, so the allergy medications are also needed.

Above average for the weekend

Even though fall is so close, only 10 days away, this weekend serves as a reminder that it is technically still summer. Temperatures are expected to warm for both Saturday and Sunday. Saturday, we’ll see the upper 80s. UK football sees kickoff at 7:30 pm, allowing some time for us to cool to the low 80s by kickoff and then into the 70s post sunset. Sunday, many will see 90. A few clouds may move through, but sunshine will still be plentiful, and there’s no rain in this forecast. 90s will prevail into the beginning of next week.
